Hellloooo, I’m Cass!

Mom to three little girls. Married to my high school bff. Lover of sweatpants and surprises. Firm believer that strangers are just friends I haven’t met yet. Fun seeker. Foodie. Night owl. Thrift enthusiast. Avid crafter. Record collector. Car racer. And now - TATTOO ARTIST! Cannot even explain how wild it is to add that to the list.

Even though I’ve been creating since day one, I can’t say I ever saw this coming. I’ve dabbled in all kinds of artistic expression through the years - drawing, painting, crafting, writing, building, beading, sculpting, weaving, making anything and everything. If you ever ask I will gladly show you my annual homemade family Halloween costumes. Pretty sure I’m partially responsible for Dollarama’s success in hot glue sales.

I was first introduced to the world of tattoos when my good friend started doing them. She gave me my very first tatt and I began collaborating with her by drawing custom designs for her to ink on people. Then one day, she put a tattoo machine in my hand and gave me a banana to practice on - and I was hooked.

Since that day I have fallen in love with tattooing in a completely unexpected way. I love that it embodies two of my favorite things - creating and connecting. I love the artistry, the vast array of styles and techniques used to bring a vision to life. I love the challenge, learning from every single interaction and experience. I love the focus, dialing in to every detail to create something truly unique. I love the way these markings can hold resilience, affection, and memory. I love sharing space with so many diverse people I never would have met otherwise. I love being invited into someone’s story, and trusted to represent it. I love the bond I get to have with those my art is on. I love creating little pieces of beauty and meaning and fun amidst whatever life holds.

All this to say - I really really love this. And am so ridiculously grateful that I get to do it.

Thanks for being here with me.

From the tattoos, to the tees…

If you sang that to yourself in the style of Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz - you’re my people.

When I got booked for my first tattoo pop-up I designed myself a custom shirt to wear for the event. Long story short - people saw it, liked it, and asked where they could get one. Then I designed another. And another. And another…
And was having way too much fun to stop.

This whole endeavor gets more and more exciting with every opportunity I have to collaborate with others in the community. Whether it be a fundraising initiative for a non-profit, or new line of branded merch for a local boutique, I love getting to bring my creativity to so many new spaces.

A look into my studio.

It’s a dream to have my own private studio - once a bland office space, now bursting with creativity. I describe it as an “explosion of me” with shelves of thrifted gems, fake greenery that I can’t kill, and a comfort-tested tattoo chair. This quirky collection of art and ink is a secluded space within our active family home. Exactly who you are, exactly where you’re at - you belong here.
